Giardino Gourmet Salads, a premiere fast casual salad concept of South Florida, has continued its growth path with 10.6 percent positive comparable sales in 2013. This increase comes over a double digit comparable sales increase the prior year, making it the chain’s eighth consecutive quarter of positive comparables.

“This positive ending to 2013 has made us confident for continued growth,” says Ody Lugo, co-founder and head of menu innovation at Giardino Gourmet Salads. “This year, we’re holding menu innovation at the forefront of our 2014 plans as we feel health remains an ongoing trend in food. As a salad concept, we’re solidifying our brand’s place in the spectrum by introducing these new offerings.”

These menu items will include dinner items and beverages that align with the current menu. Giardino instills what it calls “nutritional empowerment” in guests – using the chain’s wide variety of menu offerings to empower customer to choose what to eat based on their personal needs and lifestyle.

Giardino’s strong leadership team, with over 90 years of restaurant experience, alongside their dedicated founders, are using these new menu innovations, along with positive sales numbers to continue expanding the system. Three locations are projected to open this year; one of which belongs to Giardino’s first multi-unit operator.
