Mocapay, a mobile gift, loyalty, and marketing company, provides three modes of consumer interaction for mobile gift, including text (SMS), mobile Web browser (WAP), and mobile application via the iPhone. SMS was launched in 2007, followed by the introduction of WAP in 2008. In addition to the iPhone application, Mocapay will be introducing its Blackberry application on select handset models, in the third quarter of 2009.
All three modes of mobile payment, SMS, WAP, and the iPhone Application enable mobile gift account holders to pay at the point-of-sale, access their account balance and transaction history, search for locations, and reload their card account balances, all from their mobile phone.
