Gigi’s Cupcakes celebrated a milestone year in 2017 and has continued to open new locations across the country.

Gigi’s celebrated the opening of five new locations in 2017, including Richardson, Texas, Cleveland, Virginia Beach, Mason, Ohio, and Oak Creek, Wisconsin, and grand openings featured appearances by the founder, Gigi Butler. In addition, Gigi’s signed 10 agreements in 2017 with a goal of opening 17 new locations in 2018. Eight new locations are already under construction and set to open in 2018, as Gigi’s continues its expansion across the country.

Part of that expansion is westward with a location in Logan, Utah slated to open in the spring of 2018, marking the 24th state for the brand. Gigi’s will also continue expanding across Texas, with a new Austin location opening in 2018 owned by three former University of Texas Longhorns football players, including Brian Orakpo, who currently plays for the Tennessee Titans.

This year the brand rolled out a variety of new seasonal flavors, mini-cupcakes, and festive holiday boxes. In addition to Gigi’s signature cupcakes, the brand also introduced new flavors of personal cheesecakes and cookies.

Several locations were updated with digital menu boards, a refrigerated case for new cheesecakes, rich wall colors, and more seating.
