Gold Star Chili Launches Manufacturing Division

    Gold Star Chili has established a new division focusing on food manufacturing for private labels, co-pack, and institutional sales. Gold Star Chili Manufacturing Group has specific expertise from within its chili commissary to produce chili, soups, stews, and other food that requires kettle cooking.

    Gold Star Chili’s expertise in this field comes from producing more than 300,000 gallons of its Cincinnati-style chili every year. The Gold Star Chili manufacturing facility was built in 2004 with extra space in mind. This space was built so that the Gold Star Chili Food Manufacturing Group could be established to provide service to other groups that have manufacturing needs. The Gold Star Chili Manufacturing Group can provide services in multiple ways.

    Private label and co-pack manufacturing for other food groups could include products such as chilies, stews, soups, sauces, and gravies. Small batches and large batches are available to meet the needs of different food groups. The Cryovac seal pouch system, used by Gold Star Chili Food Manufacturing Group, can provide packaging of foods in a variety of sizes from eight ounces to one gallon.

    Institutional manufacturing and sales of the Gold Star Chili core products would mean making more Gold Star Chili product to be distributed at schools, hospitals, military, corrective, and nursing facilities. Gold Star vegetarian and turkey chili would be ideal for school lunch menus calling for more healthy options.

    Gold Star Chili Manufacturing Group can provide high volume production capabilities at a reasonable price. The group has two experienced in-house certified chefs that have been dedicated to food service and manufacturing for several years, and can even assist with new menu item formulation.
