Golden Chick, the rapidly expanding Texas-based chicken chain, is expanding into the Florida market with the opening of its first Panama City location at 3710 W Highway 98, at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Highway 98. The brand continues to step outside of its Texas footprint to give Panama City its first taste of Golden Chick.
The doors to the newest restaurant, owned by franchisee Hank Gainer, officially opened for business on July 18. Gainer has lived in the area for 20 years and has a rich background in the restaurant industry.
“We have been looking forward to opening in Panama City for quite some time,” Gainer says. “This is a great community, and we are excited to introduce the Golden Chick concept to the area. I truly believe Golden Chick has the best tasting chicken with the widest menu variety in the business, and we can’t wait to share our mouthwatering Golden Tenders, Golden Roast Chicken, and our delicious sides and hot yeast rolls with the residents of Panama City and surrounding areas.”
Gainer has a grand opening event planned, which will include fun, family-friendly activities, promotional pricing on select menu items, and an on-site radio remote. Clucky, the Golden Chick mascot, will also be at the new restaurant to celebrate the opening. To top it all off, the first 50 guests will receive half off on a four-piece tender combo.

Golden Chick offers an array of menu items, including marinated Golden Fried Chicken and Golden Tenders, which are prepared in their proprietary marinating mixes and batters. Along with these items, they also offer unique chef-inspired items, like Golden Roast Chicken, gourmet chicken salad, and Hot Yeast Rolls.
