Good Times Restaurants Inc. today announced an expansion of their co-brand test with Taco John’s International to an additional 7-8 locations over the balance of 2005. This decision, says Good Times’ leadership, was based on the consistently strong results that have been posted at the original test location in Cheyenne. The additional locations will be located in Northern Colorado, Colorado Springs, the greater Denver metro area and three smaller communities in North Dakota.

Ownership of the expansion locations will be mixed amongst Good Times Restaurants, Inc., Taco John’s International Inc., and a handful of top franchise operators within the Taco John’s system. “We have learned a great deal about the dynamics of restaurant co-branding over the past year,” says Boyd Hoback, president and CEO of Good Times. “Results at the Cheyenne Taco John’s/Good Times co-brand give us great reason to take this next step. We hope to learn even more as we enter new markets with varying dynamics in an effort to provide the best possible co-brand dining experience for our customers and establish a platform for future expansion.”

Good Times and Taco John’s announced their first test site in March of 2004 with the intent to understand how well these two concepts would co-mingle and provide the customer with great variety and value. “The test is delivering just what we hoped it would,” says Paul Fisherkeller, resident and CEO of Taco John’s International. “We said a year ago we were testing for a match between two concepts that have a similar quality brand positioning that could be combined to provide increased variety and a very unique concept for the consumer. This expansion is a clear indication that so far all parties are very pleased.”
