Arizona-based food-and-juice restaurant, Grabbagreen, has a great start on leading the charge in healthy fast food industry. On Sunday, the brand awarded its second multiunit franchise to Patricia Logan from Strong & Healthy LLC. The agreement is for a three-store development deal in the Scottsdale-Phoenix, Arizona area and is the second franchise awarded since Grabbagreen launched its franchise opportunity at the end of April. The restaurant chain added Dallas to their location roster, and three franchisee stores in addition to the three company owned stores in Arizona.
Founded in 2012, Grabbagreen is the first fast-food concept of its kind serving organic food items, antibiotic- and hormone-free beef, poultry, and fresh-pressed juice in the country. Founders Keely Newman and Kelley Bird found out very quickly they were not alone in the search of healthy food on the go after opening their first location in 2013. “It was clear very early on there was an unmet demand in the marketplace for the same healthy choices we fed our own families at home, which fueled growing the concept to three stores in less than two years,” says says CEO Newman.
"This is an exciting time for Grabbagreen's franchise expansion," says Kim Cramton, vice president of operations and franchise development. Cramton herself has more than 25 years of experience in opening over 1,200 franchises for a national brand. "Oftentimes, one of the biggest challenges is finding qualifying and driven franchisees. Logan has been a Grabbagreen fan since day one and when she approached us after our franchise announcement, we knew she was serious and that she would be a great fit to our growing Grabbagreen family. As we continue to move forward with the momentum and awareness of the opportunity here, we couldn't be more motivated to get more Grabbagreen locations open for our consumers,” she adds.
Logan said she was attracted to Grabbagreen for a number of reasons, including providing extremely healthy eating options on the go. "People are starting to grasp how much diet effects everything and living in such a fast-paced lifestyle, providing more options for those in search of that is a necessity," she says. Strong & Healthy, LLC will be focusing on North Scottsdale, Phoenix, and the Chandler, Arizona area for the three locations, and has already began their search for the perfect space.
