In honor of Earth Day, Sweet Leaf Tea launched a micro site titled “Green Tips from Granny” in an effort to increase consumer awareness on environmental stewardship.

The site highlights lifestyle changes that better the environment such as keeping car tires inflated year round to use less gas and unplugging electronics when they are not in use to save energy. Through the site, consumers have the ability to make pledges to adopt any of the green tips into their lifestyles as well as track their pledges through simple, registered accounts.

And of course, Granny, the grandmother figure on Sweet Leaf Tea’s packaging, is at the center of it all, sharing all of her green tips from a rocking chair on her front porch.

“My Mimi has always given our family advice on how to save energy, water and other resources. She has been our guiding inspiration for creating this site, motivating us to share her tips as well as many more to Sweet Leaf Tea consumers. As a company, we believe that environmentally friendly efforts are part of the healthy lifestyle that we have always been promoting with our all-natural, organic teas,” says Clayton Christopher, founder and CEO of Sweet Leaf Tea.

Sweet Leaf Tea is the producer of all-natural, organic teas and lemonades and uses environmentally friendly packaging for all of its products.

Sweet Leaf Tea’s organic beverages are produced without antibiotics, pesticides, irradiation, or bioengineering. The bottles, both glass and plastic (PET), are completely recyclable and all of the company’s boxes, shipping and paper system pieces are made from post-consumer recycled material.
