Green Leaf’s restaurants added Sesame Asian Quinoa to the menu. Over the past decade, the Andean super food has become very popular. Though it is often called a whole grain, quinoa is actually a seed. Cousin to a beet, quinoa, (pronounced keen-wah), is a complete protein rich in minerals, low-fat, and gluten-free. For a limited time, the new Sesame Asian Quinoa will be available at all 38 store locations.

“Green Leaf’s addition of quinoa to the menu is sure to satisfy our customers’ desire for complete, vegetarian protein options,” says Anthony Scotto, CEO of parent company Villa Enterprises Management. “And it is another great way for us to deliver on our promise to our guests of Beyond Great Salads.”

Guests can power up their Pick & Mix Salad with the new Honey Sesame Quinoa Topping or a Sesame Asian Quinoa Wrap with a low-carb flour tortilla, spinach leaves, cucumber, pickled onion, and wasabi dressing.

Green Leaf’s specialty is made-to-order-while-you-watch salads. Guests choose from several ingredients, dressings, and toppings that a team member tosses for you.  Wraps, grilled Panini, and specialty sandwiches offer guests a meal made from the freshest ingredients.
