Tampa-based Green Market Cafe, a fast casual restaurant group, has established a franchise partnership agreement with its first location set for Seminole, Florida, according to Andrew Koumi, owner.

The franchise partners are Naren and Nilia Patel of Clearwater. A targeted opening is in February 2021.

“We’re looking forward to growing Green Market Café with strong partners like Naren and Nilia,” says Nick Vojnovic Green Market Café franchise development. “We are moving forward.”

According to Naren Patel, Green Market Café impressed them with the on-trend menu and healthy bowls, wraps and salads.

“The unique free frozen yogurt included with each meal is a great value for customers,” Patel says. “We hope to open many more locations.”

Green Market Café currently has four company-owned locations, all in Tampa Bay. The first location opened in Oldsmar in 2010. It specializes in fresh and flavorful menu items.

The franchise initiative is through Green Market Café Franchise Development. In addition to Koumi, it is led by Nick Vojnovic, who is also president of Little Greek Fresh Grill/Little Greek Franchise Development.

“We are optimistic we will open new locations soon,” Koumi adds. “We also have our eyes set on opening four additional locations in the Tampa Bay area.”

According to Koumi, he got inspiration for Green Market Café while a student at the University of Florida. He was frustrated on not finding fresh and healthier food. He says the food philosophy is composed of three simple concepts: sustainability, balanced nutrition and always-fresh ingredients.
