The Gyro Shack announced its new location in Vancouver, Washington, will be celebrating its grand opening on March 5. Located in the Hazel Dell Marketplace at 7902 NE 6th Ave., Suite 106, The Gyro Shack features a convenient dine-in seating area.
The grand opening celebration will feature a ribbon-cutting with the Chamber of Commerce, followed by The Gyro Shack’s first annual gyro-eating contest in Vancouver with first prize including one free Original gyro a week for a year.
Vince Carich and Tim Martens, the locally based entrepreneurial team that owns and operates The Gyro Shack location, will also be opening additional restaurants in the area including a second location on Vancouver’s east side this summer. In addition to Carich’s franchising background, Martens has more than 20 years in food service, including owning several successful wine bars.
“We know that our unique cuisine will be a perfect fit for Vancouverites who love authentic Greek food,” says Carich. “With our shared background in the restaurant industry and my own experience owning seven Papa Murphy’s locations, we have what it takes to make The Gyro Shack the new favorite in Vancouver.”
The Gyro Shack in Vancouver is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Arriving on the heels of the recently opened locations in Everett and Lakewood, The Gyro Shack in Vancouver is the third of more than 20 locations slated to open in Washington.
“We know that Vince and Tim have what it takes to make Vancouver residents fast fans of our fresh menu at The Gyro Shack,” says Seth Brink, vice president of operations and development at The Gyro Shack. “We can’t wait to hear Vancouver yelling ‘Opa!’”
Founded by the Zaharioudakis family in Boise, The Gyro Shack has long been known as a fast, affordable option for delicious Greek food. With recipes based on those lovingly crafted by its founder, the brand continues to corner the market on expedient and uncommonly inventive gyro options that redefine quick-service Mediterranean cuisine.
The brand keeps customers’ time a top priority. The experience provides face-to-face window service and made-to-order gyros with meat carved Off the Spit and fresh ingredients piled high before customers’ very eyes.
Gyro offerings at the Vancouver location range from the traditional to the extraordinary, such as the BLT and the Spicy Bacon Avocado. Vegetarian lovers of Mediterranean fare will also find plenty to tempt their palates, including a veggie gyro, Greek salad, and hummus and pita. The tzatziki and spicy green sauces are a delicious way to top off any order to perfection.
In addition to the exceptional customer experience, The Gyro Shack offers a distinctive franchisee experience that sets the brand apart. As a franchise run by former franchisees with more than 35 years of combined franchising experience, Seth Brink and Doug Miller manage The Gyro Shack with its franchisees’ best interest in mind.
The Gyro Shack is always looking for qualified franchisee applicants in the Pacific Northwest. The brand is seeking current multi-unit franchisees with restaurant experience. The minimum number of franchises sold to an individual group is three.
