The Habit Restaurant, Inc. is celebrating its annual Hatch Chile Festival with the launch of special menu items dedicated to this flavorful Southwestern pepper. A culinary and guest favorite, Hatch Chiles are grown in New Mexico and were created by combining three chiles to produce the perfect blend of heat and flavor.
The Habit chargrills each Hatch Chile over an open flame to bring out its smoky flavor and deepen the savory taste in the new, limited time Hatch Chile menu items, including:
Grilled Hatch and Pepper Jack Charburger ($4.99) featuring chargrilled Hatch green chiles and perfectly melted Pepper Jack cheese atop a delicious charburger with tomatoes, lettuce and The Habit’s new creamy spiced Hatch green chile aioli.
Grilled Hatch and Golden Chicken Salad ($7.50) combines a golden hand-breaded, fried chicken breast and chargrilled Hatch green chiles, serving them with fresh garden greens, feta cheese, crumbled bacon, carrots and diced tomatoes. This tasty salad is tossed in The Habit’s tangy house-made cilantro lime ranch dressing.
Grilled Hatch and Pepper Jack Chicken Sandwich ($6.99) with juicy chargrilled chicken breast on toasted sourdough bread, this flavorful sandwich includes grilled Hatch green chiles, melted Pepper Jack cheese, fresh tomatoes, lettuce and The Habit’s new creamy spiced Hatch green chile aioli.
These items will be available through October 3 in all participating restaurants during the Hatch Chile Season.
