The Habit Restaurants Inc., an Irvine, California–based restaurant company best known for its award-winning Charburgers, has announced the introduction of a spicy Tempura Jalapeño Charburger. The limited-time special is available now through November 24 at participating Habit Burger Grill restaurants and is priced at $4.95.

The new Tempura Jalapeño Charburger starts with flavorful jalapeño chile peppers that are crisped to a light golden brown and placed on top of a fresh, seasoned, chargrilled beef patty topped with melted American cheese, chopped lettuce, hand-sliced tomatoes, and pickles. It’s served on a toasted bun spread with house-made spicy jalapeño ranch mustard.

“Many of The Habit’s fans enjoy a spicy version of our classic Charburger and the Tempura Jalapeño Charburger delivers just that,” says chef Adam Baird, The Habit’s vice president of food & beverage and creator of the new limited time special. “You have layers of tastes and textures—crispy from tempura batter; spiciness from the jalapeño and jalapeño ranch mustard; richness from the chargrilled burger; and cheese and cool crunch from fresh produce. This charburger is packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat.”
