Hai Street Kitchen & Co., a Japanese–inspired fast–casual concept, is now open in Philadelphia at 32 S 18th St.
The restaurant serves large sushi rolls filled with items such as grilled steak, fried chicken, shrimp tempura and grilled mushrooms. Patrons can also get these items in a bowl with rice or greens.
Hai Street Kitchen & Co. has six “signature” roll options.
“The Shroom” includes a grilled portabello mushroom, chimichurri sauce, spring lettuce mix, carrots, roasted beets, and asparagus.
The “Mexicana” contains Mexican grilled pork belly, tomatillo salsa, spring lettuce mix, carrots, sautéed onions, and green papaya salad.
The “Hai Street Chicken” features chicken katsu which is lightly breaded in panko, topped with a black pepper teriyaki sauce, romaine, red onion, red cabbage, and a green papaya salad.
“The Crunch” includes shrimp tempura, spicy mayo, romaine, cucumbers, pickled mango, and asparagus.
The “Sumo Steak” has black pepper teriyaki sauce, romaine, sautéed onions, red cabbage, and asparagus.
The “Slammin’ Salmon”, which is prepared tataki-style by lightly searing the salmon, has spicy gochujang sauce, romaine, cucumbers, pickled mango, and red onion.
