Halo Burger is sharing plans to reopen restaurants amidst temporary closures due to COVID-19 beginning Friday, May 1. The brand will open six of their eight locations, offering drive thru, delivery and online ordering options and introducing strict safety protocols to ensure employee and community safety.
Halo Burger indicated staff may to return to work when they feel most comfortable doing so. The brand is committed to continuing to support their team through the Halo Burger Family Fund to ensure the health, safety and well-being of their team members. This has included assistance with necessities such as utility bills, rent, groceries, diapers and more.
An anonymous employee who received aid from the Halo Burger Family Fund disclosed, “I wanted to take time to write because I think it’s important the world understands what the Halo Burger team does for their crew in a time like this. I received a $100 gift card to help my family, it was exactly what I needed to get us by. Not to mention this isn’t the first time I’ve received aid, around Christmas I experienced hard times and the company was there supporting my daughter and I to make sure she had a great Christmas. I appreciate the help so much, I love my job and the people I work with. From my daughter, myself and my family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
The following restaurants will reopen on May 1, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from 9AM – 7PM, seven days a week:
- Belsay Road – Burton, MI
- Birch Run – Birch Run, MI (Birch Run will operate from 10AM – 7PM and not be offering breakfast)
- Hill Road – Grand, Blanc, MI
- Leroy Street – Fenton, MI
- Linden Road – Flint TWP, MI
- Pierson Road – Flint, MI
Halo Burger has also outlined aggressive safety measures within their reopening protocol including introduction of facial coverings and gloves, distanced work zones to minimize employee contact, daily health checks with contactless thermometers and protective equipment installed at drive thru windows.
Since the coronavirus outbreak, Halo Burger has been swift in their measures to battle COVID-19 including implementing increased daily cleaning efforts; encouraging those who feel sick to stay home and recover; sharing information with the team about how to keep themselves and others safe; and working alongside local, regional and national partners.
