Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. Introduce Breakfast Grilled Cheese

Carl’s Jr.and Hardee’s are warming up mornings with the launch of the new grilled cheese breakfast sandwich, available now at participating Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. restaurants.

The grilled cheese breakfast sandwich features a choice of sausage, bacon, or sliced ham, topped with a folded egg and melting American and Swiss cheeses, all served on grilled sourdough bread. 

“Mornings can be full of rude awakenings so we wanted to offer a new menu item that made the daybreak a little easier on people,” says Brad Haley, chief marketing officer of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s. “Grilled cheese sandwiches have always been one of America’s favorite comfort foods, and now with the addition of eggs and the choice of your favorite breakfast meat— sausage, bacon, or ham— all served on grilled sourdough bread, it’s the perfect way to jumpstart any type of morning you’re having.”

Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s will promote the grilled cheese breakfast sandwich with a new ad developed by Los Angeles- and Amsterdam-based creative agency 72andSunny. Premiering on TV this week, “House Party,” shows the power of comfort food to rescue even the most uncomfortable of morning-afters.
