"Through this donation, we hope to show our support, " said Larry Brayman of Hardee's. " The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is an organization we are proud to partner with in an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer education."
According to officials at the Komen Foundation's St. Louis affiliate, more than 40,000 runners and walkers throughout the metro area are expected to participate in this year's race. In the last three years, sponsors and participants in St. Louis have raised more than $1.9 million for breast cancer research and local education, screening, and treatment programs.
"This event is only possible with support from local organizations and corporations like Hardee's," said Martha Martin, vice president of the St. Louis affiliate for the Race for the Cure ™.
