Freshii today opened its doors for the first time in Dublin, Ireland. Situated in the Docklands’International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), the new store has claimed the historic CHQ Building as its first Dublin location.

Freshii is a global leader in the health-casual restaurant business. Freshii is on a worldwide mission to help individuals live longer and healthier lives by making fresh food convenient and affordable to all. Freshii’s expansion to Ireland helps to further the brand’s mission.

The Freshii master franchise holders Dave O’Donoghue and Cormac Manning are excited to cater to the health-conscious community and build awareness of health and wellness. The have more than 50 years of combined experience in the food industry across Ireland, the U.K., and Europe, including working in Cuisine De France as CEO and CFO.

Once the first store opens, they have extensive plans to introduce the brand throughout Ireland and expect to see more than 40 stores opened in the next three to five years. This development will create more than 200 full-time jobs for Freshii crew members, as well as 400 part-time roles.

“We are delighted to deliver nutritionally beneficial food in an energetic fashion to the community,” O’Donoghue says. “There has been a void in the fresh food market here in Ireland, and I know guests will instantly adore and crave Freshii’s menu items. We look forward to making clean eating approachable with unique offerings, such as beet slaw, juice cleanses, and homemade salad dressings. Our extensive menu also includes favorites like kale and quinoa.”

To build excitement around the store opening, Freshii Ireland built a unique installation in the CHQ Building. A greenhouse was constructed in the window of the store while the unit was being built out. The Freshii Greenhouse was stocked with a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, and every week it hosted a live “Greenhouse Session”during the busy lunchtime period. DJ Robbie Kitt performed live in the Greenhouse and the gigs were shared extensively among Freshii Ireland’s already 5,000-plus strong Facebook community.
