Foodservice equipment designer and manufacturer Henny Penny Corporation hired Benjamin Leingang to be the company’s new corporate chef. Chef Leingang comes to Henny Penny from Compass Group North America, a foodservice management company. Most recently, Chef Leingang managed all aspects of foodservice for Honda Manufacturing of North America; this role encompassed multiple on-site cafes, as well as numerous corporate functions and employee events.

“Ben brings a unique combination of corporate and culinary experience,” says Rob Connelly, CFSP, president of Henny Penny. “He’s been an executive chef and has overseen menu development and kitchen operations in a variety of environments, from fine dining to private clubs to corporate dining. This gives him insight to the challenges faced by foodservice operators, and will help us to better serve their needs.”

Chef Leingang also has experience with product demonstrations and working with media outlets, having assisted with food styling for publications including Travel & Leisure, Southern Living,and Chef Magazine. In his role as a product demonstrator for Creekstone Farms Beef, he conducted numerous cooking demonstrations for a variety of audiences from investors, to clients, to the general public.

“I’m thrilled to take on this new role with Henny Penny,” Chef Leingang says. “Increasingly, our customers look to us as an advisor on various aspects of the restaurant business. I’m excited at the opportunity to provide a culinary perspective to enhance food quality, as well as use insights from my years in foodservice management to help operators maximize efficiency.” One of Chef Leingang’s first activities in his new role was attending the recent NRA Show in Chicago, where he was able to greet visitors to the Henny Penny booth and scout the latest culinary trends firsthand.
