Hot Dog on a Stick, an American icon since 1946, recently made life easier for its on-the-go patrons with the opening of the popular chain’s first drive-thru location in California on June 14. The Hesperia, California, location will celebrate its grand opening on National Drive-Thru Day—Wednesday, July 24, with a ribbon cutting scheduled for 9 a.m. The location will also be offering specials throughout the week of July 22 to 26. Specials include a free Breakfast Sausage on a Stick with any purchase from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and a free Hot Dog on a Stick souvenir cup with any purchase from 3 to 5 p.m.

“We opened our first drive-thru location last summer in Utah, and it has proved extremely successful,” says Laurie Sonia, executive vice president. “Drive-thru eateries are the perfect complement for today’s hurried world. We are excited to bring this new Hot Dog on a Stick experience to our California customers.”

The new drive-thru will serve the company’s traditional freshly made menu headlined by the original turkey Hot Dog on a Stick. Additional items include Nathan's brand beef hot dogs—on a bun or on a stick and available at all company locations. New items offered at this location include chicken tenders, Breakfast Sausage on a Stick dipped fresh to order, and chili cheese fries.

The drive-thru at 14777 Bear Valley Road also offers an inviting indoor dining area where customers can dine and unwind. Hesperia marks the sixth store location in San Bernardino County and is open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
