The agreements mark the first new locations since GFG acquired the brand in August.
GFG’s vision is to open new locations across the U.S. and is seeking experienced and qualified franchisees interested in expanding the popular quick-service restaurant specializing in fresh hand-stomped lemonade and delectable stick items and fries. Ideal franchisees have experience in restaurant management, $100,000 in liquidity, and a net worth of $250,000. They must also be committed to exceptional and friendly customer service—an absolute standard of the Hot Dog on a Stick brand.

The franchisees of the new Hot Dog on a Stick in Austin, Texas, are Jaye and Frank Prater, two current Great American Cookies operators. The store will be located in Lakeline Mall in Cedar Park. The Praters discovered Hot Dog on a Stick when they resided in San Diego and admire the iconic brand and loyal following.
The franchisees of the new Hot Dog on a Stick in Las Cruses, New Mexico, are Jesus and Crystal Guerro. They became familiar with Hot Dog on a Stick having lived in southern California and witnessing the brand’s growth in El Paso, Texas, where they currently reside.
GFG operates close to 100 locations in the U.S., as well as internationally including Brazil, Korea, Philippines, and Dubai. GFG looks to take Hot Dog on a Stick beyond the mall with freestanding restaurant locations and drive thrus.
