Richard Tarascio, president of Hot Harry’s Fresh Burritos announced the opening of the newest Hot Harry’s location at 1470 East Street, New Britain, Connecticut. The new store, the seventh Hot Harry’s location and the first in Connecticut, is located in an area of East Street primed for development associated with the CTfastrak bus line. “This location opens up Connecticut as a new market for us which we feel is ready for a fresh new concept in the fast casual Mexican segment with locations costing under 300K turnkey and all of Connecticut available,” Tarascio says.

Hot Harry’s Fresh Burritos, Inc. is a California Mex casual food group that uses made-from-scratch, homemade recipes with fresh ingredients prepared on-site each day and served in an inviting, fast casual atmosphere, with a unique menu that includes Hot Harry’s famous burrito of the month selection that changes on the first of each month.

Hot Harry’s was founded in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, by Samir Abdallah, who continues his involvement in the company as executive vice president. The New Britain location is the first in the Hot Harry’s group to feature new architectural design work developed by Laskey Architects of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The interior or the New Britain property features earth tone colors, brick, stone, corrugated metal and rustic lighting and serves as the chain’s new prototype. The restaurant employs more than 20 full and part time employees. Anthony Taylor is the new location’s general manager.

“We’re poised for growth,” Tarascio adds. “The New Britain store will be followed shortly by new locations in Massachusetts, New Jersey and still more sites in New England and New York.”
