    Industry News | January 17, 2014

How Do You Roll? has inked a deal with Raj Patel of the Mid-Atlantic Restaurant Group to develop the Washington D.C., Maryland, Delaware, and northern Virginia area. Over the next eight years, Patel will sell and support the opening of 25 units targeting Washington D.C., Bethesda, Chevy Chase and Rockville, and Northern Virginia for development first.

“The Washington Metro Area is one of the most diverse areas in the country and a modern ethnic restaurant like HDYR? will be very successful in this area,” Patel says. "How Do You Roll? is a healthy and fresh food option that is as accessible, affordable, and convenient as burgers and sandwiches.”

Patel has more than 17 years experience in restaurant operations, commercial real estate, and commercial construction. Patel’s background also includes extensive experience with small businesses, which is part of what drew him to How Do You Roll?

"I’m looking forward to getting in on the ground floor of a great concept and helping grow a brand that is unique and brings a fresh alternative into the fast casual restaurant industry,” he says.

How Do You Roll? currently has ten units open in Arizona, Florida, and Texas. The company has signed franchise and development agreements for more than 400 units over the next twenty years. These agreements span Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, the Middle East, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Western Canada.
