Hungry Howie’s Pizza, the ninth largest pizza franchise in the U.S., has been named 2005 Corporation of the Year by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Michigan Chapter. Hungry Howie’s is based in Madison Heights, Michigan.

The company was honored for its active participation and contributions to the MS Society’s programs. Hungry Howie’s has been an MS Walk sponsor for five years, consistently increases the number of Walk sites they sponsor each year, and in 2005 donated 930 pizzas across nine Walk sites. The company also donates bread and pizzas for a variety of the MS Society’s caregiver programs

These contributions assist the MS Society in keeping administrative costs down, ensuring that more money is dedicated to research, education, advocacy and empowering programs for individuals and families affected by multiple sclerosis. The Michigan Chapter is one of the largest MS Society chapters in the country.

Hungry Howie’s currently has 525 stores in 18 states, with 250 additional outlets expected by 2010.
