WAC Lighting is launching a new promotion to help lighting distributors and other trade associates increase sales and education efforts on responsible lighting while hunting for clues to receive special deals and gift cards in time for the holiday season. “The Hunt” promotion features a scavenger hunt and final program to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary.

“The Hunt” program will enable lighting professionals to search for various WAC Lighting items, test their knowledge of the company, and introduce them to the latest WAC products. Participating distributors will maintain “The Hunt” lists and keep copies of sales receipts for various items to build points, which can be redeemed for gift cards throughout the promotional period, which runs through January 31, 2010.

WAC’s “Hunt List” features “Must Have” qualification items, which include: copies of sales receipts for responsible products such as CFL or LED fixtures purchased between November 15, 2009 and January 31, 2010; digital photos of WAC products installed on a job site; a distributor’s location ID number; and an authorized distributor salesperson’s full name. “The Hunt” list also includes WAC ads and articles, a training session attendance certificate, and other items that remind of responsible lighting and WAC’s milestone anniversary.

WAC distributors must sign up to participate by November 15 and purchase “The Hunt” stock products, which include LEDme Light Bars and LEDme Button Lights/Drivers. Participating distributors will receive The Hunt Poster, Sign and Pamphlet Holder, and one case of 25th Anniversary edition catalogs.

Participating dealers will receive 10 percent off energy efficient products purchased before the International Lighting Market in Dallas in January 2010. The distributor with the highest number of contest participants will receive three Free INVISILED 12v tape light system kits. The distributor with the highest point value will receive a free promotional gift pack, which includes LEDme Light Bars and Button Lights, and a monorail kit.
