Ike’s Love & Sandwiches is celebrating the company’s 13th anniversary and National Sandwich Day with a weeklong celebration. From Monday, 11/2 to Friday, 11/6, Ike’s four most popular sandwiches will be available for only $7 each: Matt Cain, Menage a Trois, and two vegetarian options—Sometimes I’m a Vegetarian and Meatless Mike.
“Thirteen years ago, I followed my dream to create lasting memories and express my creativity through making the best sandwiches in the universe. My dream is a reality now across more than 70 Ike’s locations, making it easy for meat, vegan, and gluten-free eaters to share the same table,” says Ike Shehadeh, Founder and face behind the cartoon logo. “My mission was and still is to make sure that all who come to Ike’s feel love, respected and appreciated, which includes craveable flavor-filled sandwiches no matter your diet. The 800+ sandwiches on the Ike’s menu is a manifestation of my passion for delicious food and the love for everyone to be able to enjoy a mind-blowing sandwich. Through opening up a simple sandwich shop 13 years ago, I hope to inspire others to set forth on their dream—it’ll be your greatest contribution that you can give to the world.”
Ike’s recently opened its first East Coast location in Aventura, Florida, and has signed leases on three new Southern California locations slated to open in early 2021. Ike’s Del Mar, El Segundo and Carson locations will bring the company to 83 total stores across 6 states. By the end of 2021, Ike’s plans to have 100 locations open nationwide.
With hundreds of sandwich combinations on the deliciously addicting menu—including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options—there is something for everyone to love at Ike’s Love & Sandwiches. Ike’s Love & Sandwiches first opened in 2007 under the name “Ike’s Place” in San Francisco with sandwiches created by Ike Shehadeh. The small sandwich shop quickly developed a cult and celebrity following, thanks to the creative and delicious offerings on Dutch Crunch bread with “Ike’s Dirty Secret Sauce.”
Ike is constantly adding new styles to the menu with many named after celebrity athletes who often work with Ike to develop their own sandwich creation like the Madison Bumgarner, Andre S.O.G. Ward and Marshawn Lynch. Each location opens with its own exclusive sandwich, imaginatively named for the community. Ike’s has always put its customers’ happiness first.
