It’s A Grind Coffee Franchise, LLC, a leading national specialty coffeehouse concept that offers gourmet coffee and espresso beverages, recently announced the appointment of Jose Luis Urruita as franchise performance coach, Jodi Samsonov as director of operations, John Wilson as vice president of franchise sales, and Tracy Adams as corporate district manager.

Jose Luis Urrutia, franchise performance coach
A Native of El Salvador, Urrutia has been working in the service industry since he was 17 years old. His previous experience includes working for McDonalds Corp. and for Robinson Department Stores, where he oversaw six departments and broke company sales volume records. He subsequently worked for Pasqua Coffee Company and Starbucks Coffee Company. While at Starbucks, Urrutia worked as district manager, served as an operational consultant and was responsible for the opening of operations in Spain. His duties as franchisee performance coach will include working with franchisees to provide them with ongoing support, strategy advice and analysis of their operations.

Jodi Samsonov, director of operations
Previously with Cotti Foods, a large franchisor of Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, Samsonov was the director of training. She has a wealth of experience in the development and implementation of training, as well as operational initiatives. Samsonov will work closely with the operations team to continue to increase the level of support to franchise owners.

John Wilson, vice president of franchise sales
As vice president of franchise sales, Wilson will be utilizing his extensive skills in franchise sales and operations. Wilson began his franchising career managing a local Jack-in-The-Box and then working for McDonalds Corp. as a roving unit manager. Through the years he has been involved in franchise development and marketing, operations and support, as well as franchise concept development. Most recently, Wilson worked as a leading franchise consultant with FranChoice and was recognized as the number one performer in its national network.

Tracy Adams, corporate district manager
Adams has been selected as the new district manager for corporate-owned locations in the Long Beach area. Her background is in food and beverage, both in company environments, as well as owning her own catering company. Her previous experience includes event planning, university food and beverage, staffing, and training. Adams will provide the consistent leadership presence It’s a Grind has been searching for within their stores.
