Jack in the Box Debuts Premium Burgers on Ciabatta Bread

    Industry News | May 31, 2005

Italy is famous for its world-class cuisine. So when Jack in the Box restaurants went searching for an artisan-style bread, they headed for the land of pasta, Puccini, and Pisa. Their find? Ciabatta.

Jack in the Box has created several culinary masterpieces on ciabatta, including Jack's first-ever ciabatta burgers, which debut today. Featuring the same hearth-baked ciabatta roll that made the chain's Bruschetta and Classic Chicken Ciabatta sandwiches a hit with consumers, Jack in the Box has created two very different burgers:

Original Ciabatta Burger--features a jumbo hamburger patty on a lightly toasted ciabatta roll with green leaf lettuce, tomato slices, red onion rings, and pickle fillets topped with a creamy roasted red pepper sauce.

Bacon 'n' Cheese Ciabatta Burger--features two jumbo hamburger patties stacked on a lightly toasted ciabatta bun with green leaf lettuce, tomato slices, red onion rings, bacon, and two slices of American cheese topped with a smoky cheddar mayo.

"Our Ciabatta Burgers are true originals," says Michelle Vespa, director of menu marketing and innovation for Jack in the Box Inc. "With unique, high-quality ingredients like ciabatta, roasted red pepper sauce and smoky cheddar mayo, they break the burger mold and take fast food to a whole new level."

Jack's new Original Ciabatta and Bacon 'n' Cheese Ciabatta burgers are available now for a suggested price of $3.29 and $3.99, respectively, excluding tax, at all participating Jack in the Box restaurants.
