Jack in the Box is preparing for its 50th Anniversary, noting that the company has performed well since inception. With its fourth quarter and fiscal year having closed October 1, the company expects to report its 23rd consecutive quarter of same store sales growth.
“What a great way to begin our 50th year in business,” says Robert Nugent, president and CEO. “It’s rare today to find a vigorouse 50-year old brand, yet that’s what Jack in the Box is. While witnessing a half century of change, the brand has evolved to meet our guests’ expectations for fast food and great service.”
The company won’t reveal its plans for its golden anniversary celebration. But Nugent said the yearlong Jackfest, which began October 2, will involve employees, guests, investors, and the communities where the restaurants operate.
Founded in 1951, Jack in the Box maintains more than 1,600 company-owned and franchised restaurants in 15 states. The company is headquartered in San Diego.
