Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s announced their latest—and spiciest—value innovation yet: the Jalapeño Double Cheeseburger, now available at participating restaurants nationwide for only $2.49.
Built on two of the brands’ world-famous charbroiled beef patties, the Carl’s Jr. Jalapeño Double Cheeseburger features five jalapeño coins, two slices of Pepper Jack cheese, a swirl of Santa Fe Sauce, lettuce and tomato on a soft, classic-style bun; the Hardee’s burger packs all the same spicy punch.
“In most quick-service restaurant chains’ value burgers, there is no flavor, but our Jalapeño Double Cheeseburger packs a flavorful punch with its spicy combination of Jalapeños and Santa Fe Sauce,” says Jason Marker, chief executive officer for Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s. “I dare anyone to try this burger and not say ‘wow’—it tastes incredible and is an amazing value at just $2.49.”
Over the past several months, the chains have made a concerted effort to expand their footprint in the value menu space, recently launching products such as the acclaimed $4 Real Deal, the Carl’s Jr. California Classic Double Cheeseburger and the Hardee’s Classic Double Cheeseburger; the Jalapeño Double Cheeseburger is the latest such offering.
The Jalapeño Double Cheeseburger is available at both Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s as an entrée for $2.49, and as a combo meal with fries and a drink for $4.99; prices may vary by location.
