Jersey Mike's Helps Children's Charities

    Industry News | May 18, 2000
When Dennis Walters was paralyzed in a golf cart accident in 1971, people said that he would never play golf again. Today, as a paraplegic, he is a staple on celebrity and PGA Golf Tours conducting youth clinics where he teaches children the importance of overcoming obstacles and pursuing dreams.

Jersey Mike's 2000 sponsorship marks the company's third year supporting the Dennis Walters Golf Show. Walters will perform at several tournaments, and proceeds will go to the Boy Scouts of America, Central Ohio Junior Golf, The V Foundation for Cancer Research, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, Tennessee Lions Charities, Family and Children's Service, First Tee, and the Eastlake Community Programs.
