    Jersey Mike's Opens in Mohegan Sun's Casino

    Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, will open its doors in Mohegan Sun’s Casino of the Sky Valet entrance on Thursday, December 17. This will be the third Jersey Mike’s location in Connecticut opened by Mohegan Restaurant (JM Subs), a business diversification entity of Mohegan Holding Company LLC, of the Mohegan Tribe.

    In February 2015, Jersey Mike’s awarded 10 restaurants in New England to Mohegan Restaurant and in April the company awarded two additional locations. The awarded territory covers Connecticut, Rhode Island, and the southern section of Worcester County in Massachusetts. The first of the Tribe’s Jersey Mike’s locations opened in Meriden, Connecticut, in August, followed by another in Norwich in October. The Tribe is also committed to opening a total of 24 Smashburger and 14 Arooga’s locations between the three states.

    The tribe established Mohegan Holding Company LLC for business diversification in non-gaming areas, and now includes interests in franchise restaurants, sustainable energy resources, and manufacturing, and office digital solutions.

    The Mohegan Tribe shares the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $14 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 1.5 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. This year, the company’s Fifth Annual Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving in March raised more than $3 million for 150 local charities throughout the country.
