September 7, 2006 – Corner Bakery Cafe, a fast-casual bakery cafe with over 90 restaurants across the nation, has named Jim Vinz President, effective August 23, 2006. Mr. Vinz’s promotion adds more focused strategic and leadership responsibilities in addition to his role as Chief Operating Officer with the growth-oriented bakery cafe concept, which has experienced 16 consecutive quarters of comp store sales growth.
Vinz joined Corner Bakery Cafe in 1995 as a multi-unit director. He was promoted to Regional Director in 1997 and Vice President of Operations in 1998. Under his direction the brand grew from five locations in Chicago to nearly 100 units today. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2005.
