JJ’s Red Hots’ ‘Best of the Best’ is Back for the 2018 Holiday Season

  • Industry News December 5, 2018

JJ’s Red Hots, famous for serving Charlotte’s best hot dogs and hand-crafted artisanal sausages, as well as exciting house-made sides and toppings, is bringing back the “Best of the Best” for the 2018 holiday season: creative hot dog masterpieces from 2015 – 2017, designed by 3 local Charlotteans.

“’Best of the Best’ truly means something at JJ’s Red Hots because we raise the bar on creativity and flavor every day,” says JJ’s owner and proprietor Jonathan Luther. “For the next three weeks, our guests have the opportunity to enjoy the most popular hot dogs from the past three years, unique recipes from real people and fans of the JJ’s brand.”

The brand, one of the rare hot dog-centric restaurants to be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on Food Network and having swept all of Charlotte’s Best Hot Dog awards for the past eight years, will feature the following hot dogs in December, all winners from past 12 Days of Hot Dogs promotions:

    • Through December 9 (2017 Winner): Perro Queso Dip by Juan Gonzalez, featuring Chorizo Sausage, Salso Con Queso, Cilantro and Pickled Jalapenos
    • December 10 – 16 (2016 Winner): A Dog Walks Into a Bar by Rico Renzi, featuring a Bacon Wrapped Jumbo All Beef Hot Dog topped with Beer Cheese, French’s Fried Jalapenos, Hot Blonde Mustard and Green Olives on a Toothpick
    • December 17 – 23 (2015 Winner): Mac the Truck Up by Jon Owlet, featuring Mac & Cheese, Bacon, Fritos and Hot Blonde Mustard

“From day one, we’ve always asked for input for the best hot dogs in the world from our fans and they always deliver,” says Brandy Newton, JJ’s chief brand officer. “We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the holiday season than to bring back the most popular one from each of the past three years for JJ’s family, friends and valued guests.”
