Restaurant industry veteran John Owen joins Scooter’s Coffee as Chief Operating Officer to help lead the successful drive-thru kiosk franchise model focused on providing high-quality drinks, speed of service and amazing customer experiences.

As the new Chief Operating Officer at Scooter’s Coffee, Owen will lead the operational vision and execution to fuel the organization’s strategic sales and service goals. He will partner with franchisees to ideate and execute strategies to expand capacity and achieve significant sales growth and overall franchisee success.
Over his 36 years in the restaurant industry, Owen held a variety of operations and leadership positions at McDonald’s Corporation, beginning his career as a crew member and working his way to Corporate Vice President of Strategy and Execution. He subsequently became the President and CEO of Subway Russia where he led the effort, along with his franchisees and suppliers, to double the size of the brand to more than 700 restaurants. Owen was also the principle of Owen & Associates, an executive consulting firm specializing in assisting restaurant and retail suppliers. Most recently, he served as the President of Acrelec Americas, a global technology company focused on reinventing the customer experience for restaurant and retail brands.
