Juice It Up! announced the completion of its franchise-wide menu refresh on Tuesday. All 81 locations have been updated with new menu boards designed to help guests identify the products best suited to their individual preferences. Juice It Up! has also added new menu items to its lineup of raw juices, real fruit smoothies, and açaí and pitaya bowls.

“Juice It Up! is committed to leading the juicing industry in product innovation, and our talented team is constantly at work to stay ahead of the trends,” says CEO Frank Easterbrook. “When it comes to quality of ingredients and transparency with our discerning customers, avid juicers, and smoothie-lovers alike, we have a responsibility to set the bar high.”

Juice It Up! set one industry first in April 2014 when the brand debuted Raw Fusion, the first 100 percent raw, fiber-rich juice offered by the franchise chain. The menu refresh includes a new iteration of the concept, the Red Fusion: a raw beet, pineapple, red grape, cucumber, and strawberry blend that creates a beverage with only 190 calories.

Additional new menu highlights include the Super Fusion Bowl—a combination of pitaya and açaí topped with fresh fruit and organic granola—and The Revitalizer, a vitamin E packed raw juice.

Customers can also create customized raw juices by choosing a fruit or vegetable base and then adding up to five ingredients from Juice It Up!’s list of 14 produce items. Customers can “Make it Green” by adding spinach and kale to any Superfruit Bowl or “Make it Delightful” by substituting no-sugar-added frozen yogurt in any smoothie for more fiber, less calories, and less sugar.

Finally, Juice It Up! has made Pitaya— the fruit known to be high in Vitamin C and full of antioxidants—and Ginger Shots—small 1oz and 2oz shots of raw ginger—permanent additions to the menu.

“Everyone has their own definition of health, and our new menu empowers our guests to easily identify the options that make most sense for them,” says Carol Skinner, senior director of marketing and business development.  “We’re passionate about providing nutritious on-the-go products, and we are inspired by our customers engaging in the healthy, active lifestyle advocated by Juice It Up!.”

Juice It Up!’s menu overhaul comes on the heels of two years of net sales growth, resulting in nearly a 50 percent increase over the past 25 months.  The brand’s consistent growth rate significantly exceeds same store sales of Juice It Up!’s largest competitors, including Jamba Juice, Robeks, and Smoothie King.
