JUST, a company that applies cutting-edge science and technology to create healthier, more sustainable foods announced today that it has partnered with Saxbys, the hospitality and social impact company with a singular mission to “Make Life Better.” The plant-based, protein-packed JUST Egg arrives ahead of Better Breakfast Month (September) as the latest addition to Saxbys’ made-to-order breakfast menu in the Philadelphia area and at university campus locations.
JUST’s flavorful, fluffy patty is available in the “Plant-Powered Breakfast Sandwich” paired with a house-made vegan pesto spread, a ripe tomato, and sandwiched on a toasted Saxbys bagel. The sandwich is $5.50 and can be ordered in-store or ordered ahead via Saxbys’ app.

Crafted by Michelin-starred chefs, JUST Egg is made from the 4,400-year-old mung bean and the baked patty version used by Saxbys has more protein than conventional chicken eggs. JUST Egg is free of cholesterol, saturated fat and artificial flavoring and its ingredients require less water and emit fewer carbon emissions than chicken eggs.
