Just Salad, the New York City–based salad brand, is using the new augmented reality app “Pokémon Go” to lure its customers into its Manhattan locations starting today.
“We’re always looking for new and natural ways to connect with our customers. When we started finding rare Pokémon in our stores, we sent our team out to find more,” says Just Salad CEO Nick Kenner. “This is already bringing in a bunch of first-time customers.”
The salad chain is using the app’s “lure model” this week to attract Pokemon to its restaurants. Customers have the chance to win prizes such as gift cards, Just Salad tote bags, and more by screen-grabbing their Pokémoncatches and tagging the company on Twitter or Instagram.
The company will be posting updates to twitter.com/justsalad and instagram.com/justsalad this week.
