Just Salad, the New York City based healthy restaurant chain is opening its first Philadelphia location Tuesday at 1729 Chestnut Street.

“While Philly has several healthy options, we will be bringing a healthy option that is more affordable, faster and better tasting. We are very excited to open here,” says Just Salad founder & CEO Nick Kenner. “We believe that being healthy is essential to being happy, which is why our promise is to provide quality, healthy food at an affordable price.”

The fast-casual, value based restaurant chain offers salads, wraps, toast boxes and more starting at $7.99, with nearly all of their menu items (including dozens of organic and local options) at 500 calories or less.

“Eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive or difficult,” Kenner says. “Our motto is ‘healthy for everyone’ which is why we set prices that work for students, parents, top executives, and everyone in between.”

On July 20, Just Salad will offer $2 salads at its official Grand Opening Event. From noon to 2 p.m. all chef-designed menu items will be available for only $2 for anyone who follows the brand on Instagram. The team will also be giving away prizes, free samples, and their signature Just Salad Reusable Bowls, which provide guests with free toppings every time they bring them into the store.

The company proudly operates the largest reusable bowl program in the world, helping save over 75,000 pounds of plastic every year.
