The five versions of the ad, created by Adweek's Global Agency of the Year BBDO, feature Alexander entering a humdrum football party including football legends McMahon and Perry. He brings the party to life when he introduces guests to KFC's Honey BBQ Wings and Spicy BBQ Wings.
The thirty-second television spots will run from January 21 through February 17 during popular primetime programming including FOX's new "That 80's Show" and the "United We Stand" NFL Special on CBS. A condensed fifteen-second version of the ads will air throughout the same time period.
"Championship football and best-in-class chicken wings are a winning combination," said John Gilbert, KFC's chief marketing officer. "And with two great-tasting wings flavors, we're looking for a blow out with fans—whether they hunger for heat or have a passion for sweet."
"Look for one spot to answer the age-old question that's been plaguing football fans for decades: How many wings can you fit into The Fridge?" added Gilbert.
Honey BBQ Wings and Spicy BBQ Wings will be available at this limited-time price at participating KFC restaurants from January 21 to March 10.
