Made with 100-percent Wagyu beef imported from Australia, Jody Maroni’s new All-Beef Kobe Dog may be only Wagyu hot dog now on the market.

“It’s lean, sophisticated, smooth and delicious,” says Jody Maroni, the chain’s namesake and founder. “We have spent a long time developing this super-premium product, and we are very excited about introducing it into all of our restaurants.”

Grilled and served on a fresh-baked onion roll, the Jody Maroni Kobe Beef Hot Dog is the only hot dog of its kind and fits perfectly into the Maroni Menu which features 14 kinds of Chicken and Pork Gourmet Sausages. Served on a fresh-baked onion roll, the Kobe Beef Hot Dog sells for $6.49.

Kobe beef refers to beef from the black Tajima-ushi breed of Wagyu cattle, raised according to strict tradition in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Kobe is the capital of Hyogo Prefecture. Wagyu (“Japanese Cattle”) are renowned for flavor, tenderness, and fatty, well-marbled qualities enhanced by the traditional (and well guarded) methods of raising Kobe beef. Up until now Kobe beef was limited to use as steak and traditional Japanese dishes including shabu shabu and sukiyaki.
The new Jody Maroni Kobe Beef Hot Dog is available at Jody Maroni’s Sausage Kingdoms in Venice Beach, Universal CityWalk, Cabazon Desert Hills and Camarillo Premium Outlets.
