Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation announced that it entered into a sponsorship agreement with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, which includes the company’s signature products being available during all home games for the next three seasons.
A variety of Krispy Kreme products will be available in multiple locations throughout Bank of America Stadium, including in a special Club Level Krispy Kreme doughnut shop which will also offer the company’s new Kool Kreme soft serve in traditional cones and doughnut sundaes.
“As a Company that has its roots firmly planted in the Carolinas, we are delighted to partner with the very successful Carolina Panthers organization,” says Jim Morgan, president and CEO of Krispy Kreme. “Because we are actively looking for suitable locations to build additional Krispy Kreme shops in the Charlotte metro area, the opportunity to offer our unique products at Panthers games ties nicely into our plans for growth in the region. We want to make our products more readily available where our consumers live, work, and play.”
Krispy Kreme recently opened two of its new smaller doughnut shops in North Carolina, one in Winston-Salem and the other east of Raleigh in Knightdale. The company also plans to open additional locations in downtown Raleigh and Lexington, South Carolina, a suburb of Columbia, by the end of the calendar year.
