The Pie Hole, the Los Angeles based American pie and coffee shop, will be expanding to North Carolina in 2017, bringing its made-from-scratch sweet and savory pies to the East Coast. The Pie Hole has quickly grown in California due to successfully focusing on organic ingredients, mouthwatering flavors and tapping into a millennial concept. Real estate options are currently being explored in Wake and Durham counties.

Couple Young and Surelyne Lee were led to The Pie Hole when looking for a date night option that offered a unique and delicious menu, gourmet coffee specialties, and alcohol options. After four years of owning and operating a quick service café/scoop shop in Georgia, the Lee’s decided The Pie Hole was the bakery opportunity that offered exactly what they were looking for.

“The Pie Hole has everything that my wife and I love in a coffee shop,” says franchisee Young Lee. “The menu is filled with some of the best tasting pies and delicious organic coffee that makes the perfect pair. We’re positive that The Pie Hole is going to be just as successful in North Carolina.”

Both sweet and savory pie flavors are served at The Pie Hole including flavors like the Mexican Chocolate Pie and the Earl Grey Tea Pie. The savory pies are unique in flavors including Shephard’s Pie and a Mac ‘n’ Cheese Pie. The Pie Hole has been featured on The Cooking Channel show Unique Eats and has been named “Top 12 Best Pies in America” by Conde Naste Traveler. The Pie Hole offers a signature line of organic coffee and hand pulled espresso in a fast casual, local gathering space format.

Two additional locations are currently being planned to open in Durham and Wake county as well. The Pie Hole is partnering with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind the explosive growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba Mexican Grill.
