Silver Lake-based Pazzo Gelato, maker of all natural, farmer’s market driven, artisan gelato, has been hitting the road lately in a charming, custom-outfitted gelato cart tailor-made for parties, studio soirees, weddings, and events of all sorts.

As lauded in Bon Appetit, LA Weekly, Angeleno, Los Angeles magazine, and C magazine, Pazzo Gelato is one of the city’s loved boutique gelaterias and enjoys a cult-like following. But with only two locations, one in Silver Lake and one in Echo Park, non-Eastside aficionados were in a bind.

Now, Pazzo’s new cart can serve hundreds at events ranging from high-end galas, weddings, and fundraisers to bridal showers, picnics, and birthday parties. Pazzo’s cart has been seen at the Environmental Media Awards, Pepperdine University’s 75thAnniversary, Pablove’s annual fundraiser, movie premiers, and much more.

If an artisan gelato cart at a private party is not impressive enough, Pazzo can create custom flavors designed to complement the event’s theme, menu, or meaning.

Pazzo, “crazy” in Italian, is known for its made-from-scratch ethos, its ultra premium ingredients and its ever-changing roster of both traditional and uber-eclectic flavors.

Sea Salt Caramel with White Chocolate? Got it. Almond Fig? Got it. Jack Daniels-spiked Vanilla? Yep. Lavender Earl Grey, Thai Tea, Caramelized Banana? All on deck. And, of course, there are nearly as many non-dairy/vegan sorbetto flavors, including Meyer Lemon, Mandarin Orange, Dark Chocolate, and Strawberry Mint.

But, as in anything, the true art lies in the most simple of varieties: Madagascar Vanilla Bean and Madagascar Chocolateare superlative iterations of the standard. Stracciatella, Strawberry, Hazelnut, and Pistachio are all love letters to Italy.

Pazzo Gelato is the passion project of owner Mike Buch, who escaped the corporate world with a dream of making something real that made people happy. After years of trial and error and a month in Tuscany, Buch was ready to unveil his work. And indeed, it makes people happy.

Pazzo’s gelati are made from local, hormone-free milk, single origin chocolate and coffees, and farmer’s market fruits, herbs, and spices. Pazzo’s gelati/sorbetti are made from scratch daily, even multiple times through the day. Flavors change daily and are based on seasonal produce using the highest quality ingredients and no high fructose corn syrup.

Pazzo Gelato serves a rotation of more than 200 flavors including dairy and non-dairy/vegan options. Both locations serve Intelligentsia coffee and espresso and locally sourced artisan baked goods. The Echo Park location also serves fresh, house-made, seasonal soups, salads, and sandwiches. Pazzo’s gelati are available for wholesale and catering. Pazzo’s gelato cart is available for events by reservation.
