La Madeleine Flips for Breakfast Crêpes

This spring, la Madeleine Country French Café is bringing breakfast to the forefront of its menu. Encouraging guests to enjoy their la Madeleine morning, the acclaimed bakery café announced the launch of new custom breakfast crêpes.

Channeling French traditions, the breakfast crêpes are made with eggs scrambled with a choice of fresh ingredients served in a large, open-faced, house-made herb crêpe and topped with Gruyere cheese sauce. The open-faced crêpes are ideal for guests who are looking for a satisfying, hearty breakfast made exactly to their taste.

“At la Madeleine, we serve breakfast all day so guests can enjoy their la Madeleine morning anytime,” says John Cahill, president of la Madeleine. “The ambiance and warmth in our cafés lends itself to a perfect start to the day.”

To launch the new custom breakfast crêpes, la Madeleine is spotlighting la Madeleine mornings, a celebration of everything that makes mornings so special from the smell of fresh baked croissants and coffee brewing to loyal guests and their own unique morning rituals. La Madeleine mornings will be a featured topic during the spring season through the brand’s eClub, social media communities and recently launched loyalty app, Bonne Rewards.

The new custom breakfast crêpes are served all day and made to order with the freshest produce and ingredients. Guests can choose from a selection of meats, including chicken, bacon, sausage, ham, and chorizo, fresh vegetables and a variety of cheeses.

“Crêpes are quintessential to country French cuisine,” says Susan Dederen, vice president of culinary for la Madeleine. “They are a staple across France. And what better way to introduce custom crêpes at la Madeleine than for breakfast—the best meal of the day.”

This spring, la Madeleine is also carrying on French bakery traditions of using the freshest fruits of the season with featured lemon pâtisseries. In addition to la Madeleine’s signature Lemon Madeleine and Lemon Tarts, the bakery café is also featuring a moist Lemon Cream Cake made with three layers of vanilla cream cake moistened with lemon syrup, filled with smooth lemon curd and topped with white chocolate mousse. Other bakery items include Lemon White Chocolate Chunk Cookies, Mini Lemon Cream Cheese Muffins, and the new Lemon Cream Danish.
