McDonald’s and Sprite announced the debut of “That’s the MIX,” a new multifaceted campaign created in celebration of MIX by Sprite Tropic Berry—a sparkling soft drink made with natural flavors, including pineapple, orange and strawberry, blended with the classic, crisp, lemon-lime taste of Sprite—available just for McDonald’s customers.’

“That’s the MIX” will launch on Friday, May 25 with a dedicated Spotify takeover featuring the premiere of an exclusive new track and music video by multi-platinum rapper KYLE and an original, custom capsule collection by leading streetwear designer Joe Freshgoods. Fans at select McDonald’s restaurants in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City will have the rare opportunity to take home items from the “That’s the MIX” capsule collection, including a wool-and-leather varsity jacket, long-sleeve t-shirt, short-sleeve t-shirt, and socks. Beginning at 2 p.m. local time, fans who visit one of the participating locations will be eligible to receive pieces from the collection, which will be available exclusively at McDonald’s while supplies last.

“We’re mixing things up, so to speak, at McDonald’s with a new, exclusive drink,” says Linda VanGosen, Vice President, Menu Innovation. “The flavor is craveable and delicious, and we know our customers will come back for more of this unique beverage once they try it.”

“The experience of bringing “That’s the MIX” to life with an original track, music video and clothing collection has been awesome,” says KYLE, who recently released his highly anticipated debut album, LIGHT OF MINE. “I’ve always been a fan of both Sprite and McDonald’s, and I’m excited to partner with both brands on a new beverage like MIX by Sprite Tropic Berry.”

The program launched at the McDonald’s All-American Games FanFest on March 25 in Atlanta, where KYLE premiered “That’s the MIX” with a live performance and fans had the chance to visit the MIX by Sprite Tropic Berry Dunk Zone.


Purchase a MIX by Sprite Tropic Berry or any soft drink on May 25 and take your receipt to the organized line and wait in line to see the prize you won, while supplies last.
