McDonald’s Launches Virtual Kitchen Tour

McDonald’s is offering for the first time in the U.S. a unique behind-the-scenes look inside the nation’s most popular kitchen through a virtual “open doors” tour.

Hosted by 2002 Olympic Gold Medalist, Vonetta Flowers, the web-based video is consists of segment vignettes that showcase the Egg McMuffin, the McDonald’s Cheeseburger, and McDonald’s fries, among others.

The virtual tour explores McDonald’s relationship with its suppliers and how the company uses technology to improve its efficiency, menu selection, and food safety programs.

The program was announced at McDonald’s Quality Symposium: Serving a Quality Meal Every Time™ in Oak Brook, Illinois yesterday.
