Lime Fresh Mexican Grill has been a staple in South Beach since 2004. After expanding to North Miami Beach, Pembroke Pines, and Coconut
Creek, it has made its way back down south and successfully hosted its grand
opening fiesta for its first Midtown Miami location in The Shops at Midtown
Miami, 3201 N. Miami Ave, Suite 100, last Thursday.
More than 500 guests, including local dignitaries, business elite, and local
residents of the Midtown Miami area, attended the grand opening, making it
Lime’s largest grand opening event to-date. Commissioner Marc Sarnoff, an
advocate supporter of the Humane Society of Greater Miami, lead a ribbon-cutting and proclamation ceremony welcoming Lime into the Midtown community.
Guests enjoyed complimentary hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and a taco bar while
being entertained by Mariachi Las Estrellas Band, 93 Rock, and DJ Jason Perez
throughout the night.
At the grand opening event, more than $5,000 was raised for the Humane
Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet through a “big check” donation, as well
as a donation of 1 percent of April sales from Lime Fresh Mexican Grill.
Guest donations and contributions from well-known artists such as Romero
Britto Art and Michael Perez Gallery, among many others, also aided Lime’s
silent auction in raising funds.
“I know that the success of this event will give Lime a strong presence in
the Midtown community, and will also make the Midtown community more aware
of the Humane Society of Greater Miami and the various ways they can help
find homes for these loveable animals,” says John Kunkel, Lime’s founder and CEO.
