Lindamar Industries Inc., an ISO 9001-2008 certified, California-based plastic packaging manufacturer and supply house that has been conducting business for over 26 years, recently announces its new line of certified compostable bags made of renewable starch, and biodegradable polymers.

Meeting all international standards, including ASTM D6400 and EN13432, the USA-manufactured compostable bags are considerably thicker and more durable than competing bags without using any type of bioplastic material. The bags have also earned the “OK Compost” and “DIN CERTCO” certification worldwide.

Designed for the collection of kitchen trash and disposal of food and yard waste in composts and composting facilities, the compostable bags are designed to: compost rapidly and safely when placed in a municipal, commercial, or industrial composting facility; biodegrade at a rate comparable to known compostable materials under the suitable environments and conditions; not diminish the value or utility of the compost resulting from the composting process.

“Lindamar Industries is thrilled to expand our plastic bag offerings to include the new compostable bag line,” says president and CEO of Lindamar Industries Inc., Anthony Hall. “This new line is yet another example of our company-wide sustainability commitment, which also includes reducing waste at all levels of production, as well as implementing recycling policies at our facility and offering hybrid packaging consisting of plant starch with pre or post consumerable plastics.”

Lindamar Industries provides quality bags in a variety of styles and types for vendors and consumers of agricultural, bakery, meat, medical, and industrial products. The Compostable Bags can be ordered for single-use shopping bags (with or without handles), food wrapping, yard waste collection, and disposal of kitchen trash and food in composts.
