With the opening of the newest location on June 5, 2012, at 1052 4th St. North in St. Petersburg, Florida, Little Greek has doubled in size from four to eight locations in the Tampa Bay area since last April, when past Beef ‘O’ Brady's president, Nick Vojnovic, formed a partnership with founder Sigrid Bratic.

Little Greek recently announced an accelerated growth plan.

“St. Petersburg is an ideal location for the eighth Tampa Bay area Little Greek, with South Tampa experiencing record-breaking sales,” says Nick Vojnovic. “St. Petersburg has a lot to look forward to. I’m very pleased with the strong sales growth all of our locations are showing. System average is up 20 percent, with the Dallas location leading the way with a 60 percent increase in sales over the previous year.”

According to Vojnovic, another six locations are in the pipeline. The homebase market of Tampa is nearing its capacity of 15 locations.

"Sigrid created a wonderful concept that has resonated strongly with guests enjoying the freshly prepared healthy Greek dishes from scratch,” Vojnovic says.

“We have trimmed back non-Greek items from the menu and upgraded the look and feel of the restaurants to match the high quality of the food. Little Greek is now projecting 12 locations by year-end, with eight openings scheduled for 2013. We believe that the Greek/Mediterranean segment is poised to explode in the United States as Americans discover this healthy, delicious cuisine.”
